By Public Transportation

From Newark Liberty International Airport

AirTrain Newark provides easy connections to and from NJ TRANSIT, PATH, and Amtrak through One Gateway Center. Train service is available directly from Newark Liberty International Airport to Newark Penn Station.

A five-block walk to the NJIT campus, Newark’s Broad Street Station is a stop on both the Morris and Essex lines

The Newark City Subway is now part of the Newark Light Rail System run by NJ Transit.  From Newark Penn Station, take the Warren Street stop to the NJIT Campus.

NJIT/Rutgers Shuttle Schedule

The shuttle bus is operated by Rutgers-Newark and shared with NJIT, providing transportation for the university community between the two campuses and major mass transit systems. As a courtesy, shuttle service is free with your NJIT ID card.

All university shuttle buses are in direct radio communications with NJIT Department of Public Safety headquarters. A handicapped accessible van is also available to transport disabled persons throughout our campus during shuttle service hours.
